Sailing Instructions for PPYC Races

Sailing Instructions are the club's written directions by which sailboat races are conducted. They supplement The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS). Sailing Instructions are part of the rules for the races, however they are not a substitute for the rule book. Every boat that races should also have a copy of the current rule book*.

The buoy course and distance course sailing instructions are designed for regattas, but may also be used for the club's weekend races.

Sailing Instructions used at any regatta are subject to change and may be different from these.
Sailing Instructions distributed at a regatta will supersede these instructions.

PPYC members may join US SAILING through the Golden Anchor Program and save $5 off of the regular membership dues. Print out a US SAILING Golden Anchor Membership Application or contact the PPYC Treasurer for an application.
